Events

Throughout the academic year, there will be all sorts of interesting programs and events related to themes in this year's book, When the Emperor Was Divine, such as Japanese internment camps and racial profiling. Keep an eye on events to learn more about what we've got planned.

On Monday, August 24th, all first-year students will be participating in dynamic, faculty-led discussions of this year's book.

Julie Otsuka, author of When the Emperor Was Divine, will visit the campus of Washington University in St. Louis and present an Assembly Series lecture at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15th. A book signing will follow her lecture.

The top five winners of the "Finish the Story" contest will receive an invitation to an intimate small-group lunch with Julie during her visit.
